Am I going to Hell? My mother has taught me about reincarnation all my life.?

I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ and love him with all my heart, I know that he is real and in my life always, yet I cannot call myself a true Christian because I believe in reincarnation, No matter how I try to convince myself that reincarnation is not real the more I believe that it is real. Do you think because I believe in this that God will send me to Hell even though I have read the whole Bible from front to back and I truly believe with all my heart that their is no Hell, and if there was than this is it, we just keep comeing back untill we get it right? It makes scince to me that a loving God would give us many chances and that he would never send us to an eternity in Hell. I would never do that to my own children, would you? Then why would he?

I'm sorry but your mother is in error. Someone already quote the scripture that it is appointed to man to die once and once only. Reincarnation is a lie. It does not happen. If you accepted Jesus Christ as your saviour then it sounds like you may be going through conviction about your belief in reincarnation. You can choose to listen to the Word of God or your Mother. You don't have to hate your mother or leave her. God is trying to get through to you so you can get through to your mother. It could and will be a hard road. I would advise you to take this to a Christian face to face or read your Bible. Again, if you have already accepted Christ then you are being convicted of your sins and false beliefs. The Holy Spirit is convicting you...listen to him.

But, do read your Bible. It will help you through your walk in Christ. If you have not accepted Christ as your saviour then I beg you to do so.

Well, Heidi, if you've read the Bible from front to back, you can see evidence that there isn't reincarnation.

But this life can be an ugly place and for someone to serve God faithfully and devoutly, despite all the crosses he/she bears, I would think it's unfair that God would deprive them of wanting to be with Him in heaven.

And I honestly don't believe that God would send someone to hell for following what they honestly believe to be the truth. But if you do believe in Christ then wouldn't you believe in what He teaches too?

I'm just like you, Heidi. I am a follower of Christ and I believe in reincarnation. There is some evidence that references to reincarnation were removed from the Bible many centuries ago. I do not believe that following the teaching of Christ and reincarnation are incompatible.

Regarding reincarnation you might check with some one in the Hindu belief because they are the ones that brought that type thinking in. The reason for this was to support their "cast system". A bit of research will show the cast system to be the most oppressive and racial prejudice system ever know.

Regarding the word Hell:

It is very sad that the theological doctrines of the "lake of fire" and "hell" has mislead many people through the years to believe their future is to be burned forever.

Many people have come to an accurate knowledge of these and they no longer believe what some religious hierarchy wrote several years ago to scare and control people with.

Consider the following.

With a bit of research of the Scriptures one will find that the "Lake of Fire" is figurative and not literal. The figurative use of this is to illustrate total and complete destruction.

It is not a literal statement saying that people and Satan will be thrown into a lake that is on fire to burn forever.

The belief that this figurative statement is literal came from the "Hell Fire and Damnation" doctrine which is rooted in Greek Mythology and is not a Biblical Truth.

The correct definition of Hell is Grave. This doctrine is what change the definition from Grave to a place of eternal torment.

A bit of research of the words used in the manuscripts Hebrew She’ol and the Greek Hades (not to be confused with the use of the Greek mythology definition) before being translated into an Old English word Hell one will find the definitions of the words to mean..common grave of mankind.

With a bit of research into the meaning of the word Hell in the Old English one will find the word Hell to mean to cover up or bury. Which is a correct translation of the Hebrew Word She’ol and the Greek word Hades into an Old English word Hell. Thus all three words meaning grave.

Just One example, certainly research will disclose more examples and definition, of the correct use of the word "Hell" in Old English is an Old English phrase (and still used today) "Helling Potatoes". Meaning to cover them up or bury them, not throw them into fire and leave them forever.

Thus the Old English word "Hell" has been redefined from common gave of mankind to a place of eternal torment in a subterranean chamber of terror by using Greek Mythology to formulate a theological doctrine that is NOT a Biblical Truth.

Those with accurate knowledge know that all go to the grave and the only difference is some go knowing they will be resurrected into GOD’s Kingdom when it comes for eternal life and the others will just be dead forever. Their is no place of eternal torment....contrary to that old teaching used to scare and control people with.

Well, if you are a True Christian, then you would adhere to every word spoken by Christ, and He said, "It is appointed unto man once to live and once to die." Hence, reincarnation is a lie from the pit of hell. Reincarnation came from paganism; it is rooted in the stellar deity, the star Sirius B, which was worshipped as a god, and it went through several stellar phases, which were interpreted as "reincarnation" of the deity, and the pagan world emulated this applying the reincarnation concept to humans, but it is not true for human, just stars. Sirius B was first a B-1 class hydrogen-burning Blue Supergiant; next it shrank into an F-1 class star due to a cometary impact (Comet Metis, meaning "Knowledge") in its equatorial side that caused it to eject 70% of its mass; next it hyperdilated 100 times its mass into a Red Giant helium-burning star; and lastly it exploded into a nebula and its internal mass crunched into the White Dwarf star that exists today. This will all happen around 2012.

So I'd recommend to you to turn to the Truth, because the end is near. Belief in falsehoods will not save you.
