Do you think that teaching slavery makes black people resentful towards white people?

Why are users thumbing down people who say that other black people traded their own? It did happen.
Sicilia, I had a white History teacher, and she went in depth about the whole thing, we watched countless documentries, watched some films, she made us watch Roots, and in addition we read loads of accounts made after the abolition of slavery.
Also, I'm not saying that it shouldn't be taught, I was merely asking your views on the subject. Also, I'm not American so I don't know anything about your laws or whatever. The only American History I was taught was the whole Slavery thing and Civil Rights Movement. I'm from England by the way.
