If teaching is so hard, then why are you in the field?.?

I enjoy my job teaching. I got into the field because that's what I like to do. I love the kids---I think they're cool and they like me too. It's a great job. So, why is it that so many of my collegues hate their job, hate the kids, hate the parents, feel undervalued, underpaid? If I felt that that, I'd quit my job. Why don't they quit their job instead of remaining as a teacher and robbing the school district?
