| I would use a "One hundreds" chart. Have them point to each of the numbers. Pointing (including tactile/Sensory) will help them to remember the numbers. I'm not 100% sure that they are called "one hundreds" charts, but do you know what I'm talking about? It's a square that has all the "10's" on the left side, and counts to one hundred. Anyways....I would also try making it into a rhythm (I don't know any specific songs) and you could even have them clap in between or slap their knees between numbers. Ex. - five (slap knees) ten (stomp feet), fifteen (slap knees) twenty (stomp feet). Anything that involves all of their senses will help them remember better. |
