| How do people teach their dogs to talk?
Like this http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZCYaw5tGYAs I couldn't train my dogs to do this. They're livestock guardians, and they're trained to only bark when they see predators or danger. I don't want to mess up their training, I was just curious how people did this.      |

I could cut and paste a bunch of google links on 'teaching your dog to speak' but you (and everyone else here) need to realize that when training your dog to speak/talk/bark you need to be especially careful to ONLY reward after the command is given. Your dog is bound to get confused and think that all barks should be rewarded and it's something that you need to instill in your pooch.

I love that video! I've seen it like ten bajillion times and it's in my favorites! It looks like they kept repeating the words and then the dogs caught on. Smart dogs. "I want my mamaaaaa!" |
