This is a hard one because they've had enough of everyone picking on them. They need to stand up for themselves but learn to control the temper. I would sit down and talk to my husband and then sit the boys down together and have a talk with them. See where you get by doing that.

This one is hard, I agree. They've been put thru a lot with the teasing. Kids can be so cruel. My ex-husband was a golden gloves in Michigan years and years ago. My son has a heavy bag and speed bag at his house. He has taught him how to fight. It has given him confidence. I don't think that's a bad thing. My ex-husband tell him not to start anything with anyone but don't take crap from anyone either. My son has not started any fights but he has fought back when another student hit him first. So my son hit him back. We didn't punish him. I don't know if that was right or wrong but this kid left my son alone.

schools are less safe today then when I attended, as long as your boys don't throw the first punch or touch,[push, spit, etc] the other student first, they are in good shape, your husband did a good deed for your kids.
By the way, I know an accountant who still studders at 60, he is state tax manager and brilliant
