| Who is the author of the teaching that justification is gained and maintained...
...through a religious organization Justified before God. The first correct answer with supporting Scriptures (untwisted) will receive 10 points for best answer. Sorry the answer is not Jesus Christ. Galatians 2:16, “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the flory of God. A Christian is guaranteed glorification. “And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified” (Romans 8:30). As we learned in Romans 5:1, justification is declared at the moment of faith. According to Romans 8:30, glorification is guaranteed for all those whom God justifies. Rescued by the Lamb. You are starting to get warm. Who is it that tells lies and tricks others into believing them??? 2 Timothy 4:3-4 declares, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” |

a mans IDEA and CONCEPT of what scripture means another doctrine of man iNstead of the TRUTH of Gods WORD !! NO Justification THROUGH ANY Religious Orginazation or Teaching or doctrine and traditions and customs of ANY man.............. AS It is Written :: "" Thus ye have made the commandment of God of none affect by your tradition . Ye hyocrites well did Esaias prophesy of you saying , This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth , and honoureth me with their lips : but their heart is far from me , But in vain they do worship me , teaching for doctrine the commandments of men "" |

Kait, Scripture does not state that justification and salvation are gained through a particular religious organization or denomination, however Scripture does mandate the Church as an assembly of believers. Back to my old Lutheran dogmatics: Two Churches, one visible, the other Invisible. The visible one consists of what we see; the various denominations, buildings and institutions, and is made up of both believers, and non believers. The invisible Church is made up of believers and Only believers, regardless of denomination, both living and those in heaven. It will be added to by those living and those yet to be born who come to faith in Christ. This is the Communion of Saints. Justification is only through faith. Faith is cultivated and nurtured through the Church. Christ also loved the Church and Gave Himself for it that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word that He might present it to Himself a glorious Church, hot having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish. Eph.5:25-27. As we have many members in one body... so we, being many, are one body in Christ. Rom. 12:4,5. Ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief Cornerstone; in whom all the building, fitly framed together, groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord; in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Eph. 2:19-22. Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an Holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 1 peter 2:5. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is. Heb. 10:25. They continued steadfastly in the Apostle's doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers. Acts 2:42. And of course; "wherever two or three are gathered together in my name...". The doctrine of salvation through the Church is summarized in the words of the Nicene Creed: I believe in the holy catholic Church, the Communion of Saints". This isn't the answer you were looking for, but it's the only one Scripture offers. Your friend in Christ, Mark |

I'm not exactly sure if I understand your question but here are the four (4) theories regarding justification. 1. Pelagian Theory: Adam's sin was not imputed to mankind but only affected himself. 2. Arminian Theory: Adam's sin was not imputed to mankind. Man only receives pollution from Adam but not guilt or a sin nature. 3. Seminal Theory: The seminal, realistic, or Augustinian view sees Adam as containing the seed of all his posterity so that when he sinned, all actually sinned. Mankind was not merely represented by Adam but was actually organically joined to Adam." (Ryrie, Basic Theology, page 258). See Heb. 7:9-10 for an example of this concept. 4. The Representative Theory: Adam represented the entire human race. He was the natural and federal head. When he sinned, his sin became the ground of condemnation of his race. Adam's sin was imputed upon all of mankind. Note: The word sinned in Romans 3:23 is in the aorist tense ( an indefinite period in past time). Paul seems to emphasize that all people are not sinners because of their acts of sin but because of Adam's sin being directly imputed to the human race. I hope this helps. Edit: I think I understand what you are asking now. Are you thinking along the lines of the Jews - Pharisees, Scirbes, and Saducees? Romans 3:19- 20 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 10:1-5 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God FOR ISRAEL is that they may be saved. 2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to estblish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. 5 For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, "The man who does those things shall live by them." (Acts 21:20; Rom. 1:17; Phil. 3:9; Lev. 18:5) Romans 4:1-5 What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something of which to boast, but not before God. (Rom. 3:20, 27) 3 For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." (Gen. 15:6) 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. 5 But to him who does not work, but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness. Acts 15:1-29; Gal. 2:16) Gal. 2:16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, and not by the works of the law, for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. James 2:14-26 |

We are justified by grace alone by the merits of Christ through faith which works through love and we receive faith through the organization that Christ founded on Peter Justification, forgiveness of sin and transformation by grace, can only come about when we cooperate with grace and Christ gives us the means of grace(the Scriptures and Sacraments) through His Churchof which he is the one everlasting Head. We receive and cooperate with justification as a gift we cannot gain or deserve it. We receive God's grace through the Mystical Body of Christ |

That would be the ego. To think goodness can be imposed upon someone from outside is an illusion of the ego. We are innately pure. Why would we need to be justified in God's eyes when he created us as Good. We only have to realize and remember who we are. That is our salvation. Following Jesus' life and teaching takes us to this remembrance. The Kingdom of Heaven is within you. When you see through darkness, how dark that is! But if you keep focused on the light that you are, all becomes light. Matt 6.22-23 EDIT What does Paul mean by believing in Jesus Christ? Is it saying you believe or changing your mind to realize "you have the mind of Christ." In this mind we are pure and Sons of God. Changing one's mind is not works but it takes a process of renewal.Glorification lies in remembrance and knowing Christ is in us. If that is your definition of Christian, then no institution can make you remember it. |
