Why are these people allowed to teach in college?

I take a sociology class and this crazy women rants for 3 hours about how the government was behind 9/11 and how evil the jews are and how Capitalism sucks and Commuism is awesome and tons of other carzy stuff. The scary thing is the other students buy into this stuff. So why are these crazy people allowed to teach and mold the minds of young people.
