Quantum mechanics is very real stuff, but very dificult to understand. This is an excellent presentation by one of the top contributors in the development of quantum mechanics. It is the real stuff, but it takes a lot of attention and, shall I say, scientific intelligence to get even a glimpse of what it alludes to. Even his simplifications need a reasonable foundation in basic physics.

The biggest difficulty is that it is not a theory that lends itself to a conceptual model. That is daunting, not only for the uninitiated, but even for serious scientists.
