what should I learn before joining the army? do they teach me everything I need to...

...know like meanings of signs I don't kow many of the acronyms, what medals or symbols mean, I don't kow how to differenciate a private from a general, do they teach their meanings at training?

I have four family members in the military, they teach you everything you need to know. Just remember, everyone who is not a recruit like you is SIR.

they teach you absolutely every thing you need to know. from how to strip and clean a rifle to how to make a bed correctly.

might be a good idea though to check up on some things (ranks etc) before you go in at least that way you will be the one that gets it right first time
