| Help! About to fail student teaching? Ok, I am student teaching and only have a few weeks to go until I'm done and I can graduate...if I pass.
I am working so hard, doing my best to please my mentor teacher and college coordinator. Unfortunately, I am still struggling in one area- classroom management. I'm having trouble getting and keeping students on task. and if I don't prove myself to be able to do so next week during my final observation, my coordinator has threatened to fail me. I can't believe this because I have learned and grown so much. I have tried my best but I am still learning from my mistakes. If I don't have a great observation next week, I may not graduate. I love children and becoming a teacher of young children is my passion and purpose. I'm wondering if this seems fair or right for my coordinator to fail me because of one area where I am weak. I know that with time and my own classroom experience, I will get better. I don't want to fail or have to redo my student teaching- Any advice, please |
