Were you taught about evolution in high school?

This is for Americans really. Did anyone here have a teacher that decided to gloss over evolution or skip it all together? Did anyone have a science teacher that tried to teach creationism?

I'm British btw. I understand what the law is in America but I'm just wondering how it works in practice. What was your experience?
