How difficult is it to teach myself Statistics?

I'm currently a high school math student and I want to teach myself statistics. I'm not too far in my math career yet we just really slightly covered standard deviation and such for just a few days. If I get a textbook and outline notes and such, how difficult will it be for me to teach statistics to myself?

statistics is not that hard at all. i had a really bad professor when i was taking the class. so i basically taught myself using the textbook and aced the class. it just requires time and effort, but obviously your willing to put time in. the textbook for my intro statistics class is probability and statistics for engineering and sciences by Jay L. Devore. its a pretty easy book to understand and covers the important topics well.
