God didn't teach humans not to be afraid of fire. Some were just stupid enough not to fear it at its most. And the only reason we were given souls was because we were made in His image.

Where in the Bible does it say animals don't have souls - no where because it doesn't.

I believe God made man in His image. Therefore, Mankind had no fear of anything when Adam was first created. I believe that once Sin came into existence so did Fear.

When God created Adam He breathed life into him making Adam become alive. At that moment mankind had souls.
