why does the catholic church teach that a priest can forgive sins?

i thought only Jesus can forgive and that only God can forgive. when the pharisees saw Jesus forgiving sins they called it blashepmy but they were wrong cause Jesus was God but right on the point that no man can forgive sins.im sorry friends priest do not and no way take the place of Jesus . did they die for us ? was it there blood? give me scriptures where it says that priest can forgive sins?

Only I, Raptor Jesus, can forgive you of your sins by eating your flesh and drinking your blood.
