How are teaching jobs in Atlanta, Georgia?

I am a 27 year old women currently living in New York. I plan to move to Atlanta within the year. I am working as a teacher in New York. How are the teaching salaries in Georgia? I wanted to know how it is to live in Georgia. I visited Georgia a couple of weeks ago and loved it! How are the jobs and housing there? I want to move because New York has become too expensive. Any advice would be helpful. I was looking to live in Marietta.

from what i have heard, gwinnet county is the fastest growing
county near atlanta. It is new, and there are many good schools there. the cost of housing is pretty good too.

I would apply to Westminster. The kids are well mannered there and the pay is pretty good (not sure of the exact pay). There are so many houses on sale right now! You could get a pretty good bargain on a house while the rates are down. Downtown Buckhead is a great place for very nice apartments at low prices and it also has a young (20s) scene there.

i live in lawrenceville and there r nice houses here it is a rly good place to live and teach!!!
