| Do you remember when the computer was a novel but seemingly useless
piece of technology? I remember when I was a little kid in the 90s. I had some experience with the computer, It was interesting for a while, but I really didn't care about it. This was before the internet was popular. I could play some games, but they were crappy. I could type some stuff, but a typewriter did the job just as well. Pre-Windows computers were almost useless for everyday life. Even when the internet was around, I used it limitedly to do some research, but the information was all over the place, and time consuming to look up. I also sent a few e-mails, but that was about it. It really wasn't until I discovered AIM and Wikipedia that I started using the internet everyday. DSL was a big change too.
