i want hyper threading technology in my system?

i want to install ht tech enabled p4 processor which is
3.06 ghz but my motherboard d845epi supports maximum
2.8 ghz processor even ht technology is one of its supported
features...

what can i do plz advice me weather this processor is OK for me or not it creates some headache or malfunction i hav latest bios upgraded p20
do remember this motherboard is an alternative of D845GVSR
as mentioned on the board itself (D845EPI/GVSR)
GVSR supports 3.06 GHz
