I don't know that Venus is worth taking much more of a look at right now except, of course, to find out if our Earth could become like Venus if we're not too careful.

Earth won't become like Venus unless we do something drastic and lose our moon.

I don't really think there's anything else planned for Venus. Right now we're focusing on Mars, and asteroids and comets. Also, some people are focusing on the moons Europa and Titan, of Jupiter and Saturn, respectively. Places that might have life or be able to help or hurt humanity.
