| I have some homework for Information Technology.?
I need to do a poster about credit cards and electronic point of sale. Can anybody help me and explain how the PDQ machine reads the credit card so that I can finish my poster. Thank you.      |

A PDQ reader is a bit like a cassette player where the credit card is like a very short piece of magnetic tape. You might want to check out chip and pin cards too which have an ISO electronic smart chip in them which are read a bit like a USB memory stick but more securely.
