Homework Essay : how and why has military technology changed over time?

ive got a reason and wrote about it, but stuck for others...

please help!

Compare the "how" to the Industrial revolution -- each wave replaced or augmented some human quality.

1. muscle -- steam engine, military-- dynamite, the cannon

2. eyes and ears -- telegraph, radio, aerial reconnaissance.

3. brain -- computer. military-- smart bombs, guided missiles like the Harrier

One consequence is increased impersonality. Killing by remote control is different than bayoneting or stabbing with a sword.
Also medicine has VASTLY improved -- more wounded survive, even very serious ones.

why?: So one country can always be better then the next sorta of a self defense type thing
