impact of Communications technology?

Hi.. What do u think are the positive and negative impacts that Communication technology has on our lives??? and on our Society...e.g. e-mail, Mobile phones
is mobile phones (text Messaging) teaching us bad spellings?
do we spent 2 much time online and not in the real word!!!

we have become lazy, rather than going out to see people we can sit in our comfy chair and talk or type our lives away.
but on a positive side when its cold out you aren't freezing your a** off visiting relatives

I believe that communication tech. has a negative impact because I have never seen so many dumb comments and questions(.I do not mean your question.)

Well, unlike even a decade ago, we can meet people from all over the world, and make connections on every continent (Which is right) We now have the ability to call for help now, if we find ourselves alone somewhere and hurt.

However, I suspect we as a race do spend all too much time on the web and pay less attention to our jobs and other aspects of our real lives.
