Do we have any gadgets that are more advanced and futuristic than any of Kirk, Picard and Co`s toys?

Wireless communicators (Cell Phones/Walkie Talkies)

Tasers are akin to Phasers set to stun

We now have dermabond to take the place of stitches.

flip phones - Kirks was pretty much just a walkie talkie.
with cell phones we can call anywhere in the world, send text, surf the net, get our GPS, turn by turn etc.

I dont think we've achieved warp speed in our inter-planetary travel efforts yet, but my captain's chair is way cooler than Kirk's for sure!

Well we have cell phones which are better than the flip top thingy they used on the original Star Trek. Also their viewer sucked. It wasn't high def.

I think sorting out the squeek on the sliding doors was a major step forward.

Nope not yet,we have better sounds than cpt. kirk ever had is about it.
