Should I buy an IPOD, or are there superior versions of the same technology?

I'd like to get something like an IPOD- that can hold scores of songs, won't be apt to freeze up, and won't shatter if I drop it- Is IPOD the best brand? I'll use it when I jog....

I have a 6 year old DELL desktop- all my mp3's are stored there- How do I downlaod my MP3s from my desktop onto an IPOD (or an equivilant)?

i would get an ipod they are the best i got my 8gb ipod nano video for £129.99 but they are coming down now

I-pods are returned alot at my job and I think they're a waste of money. I have a sandisk that does what the nano does & was half the price!!!
Most mp3 players are very easy to use with windows media player. You just take the song & drag it into sync & you're done!!!
