| the roswell incident and the advancement of technology?
would anyone agree that technology has come on leaps and bounds since an alleged alien craft was seized.the concept of the silicon chip and the massive developement in silicon valley makes one believe that technology at the time was way way ahead of the human train of thought.i think the basic concept of the chip was if 2 pieces of silicon were arranged or sandwiched together-1 half of a volt of electricity was produced?if the roswell incident was true can you imagine how gobsmacked the scientist must have been when faced with this new concept of science.i know we have quatam physics and every conception of sciences but was von braun familiar with intricate control systems when he defected after the war to the states to become the founder more or less of nasa.whats beyond the micro chip?is there something out there now which will totally revolutionize technology or have we gone as far as we can go for the present?

Technology was already developing at a rapid pace before WW2 after the discovery of the electron. First radio and then Electronics had arrived with valve amplifiers and the cathode ray tube leading to the invention of TV ,radar and computers . Semi conductors were already developing after the discovery of the transistor around 1947 - a good 7 years before Roswell. I think you are doing our physicists a great disservice in dismissing their efforts as obtained from an improbable alien crashed space craft.

If you bothered to find out what scientists and engineers came up with during WW2 ( ie. before Roswell ) you would not think that the developments of the last 60 years are so remarkable. None of the so-called back engineering advances are beyond what was achievable then and some are the product of decades long development. One of the greatest advances, that of lasers, came from normal scientific research by British scientists and would surely have been discovered intact and developed in a crashed spacecraft fifteen years earlier. No new technology has come from this supposed incident and especially no advance in propulsion for such a craft. Everything we can do now to power planes and spacecraft is based on pre-Roswell technology. |
