Are science and technology humanity's "saviour" and a "substitute" for religion?

No. It was the same science that gave us computers to enslave us, pollution and the so-called "Global Warming" and the nuclear weapons to destroy us at any moment. And yet we see plenty of "idiots" worshipping science and technology as "new saviours" of humanity. Including prominents scientists [a guy named Andrei Sakharov was one of them: he gave the hydrogen bomb to Stalin] and other "humanists" idiots. Really, human intellect can make people dumb. Feedback, please. [So what I am using a computer to write my attacks? HA!]
Yes, and that knowledge brought us into the brink of destruction. Ever heard of the 1962 Cuban Missiles Crisis? Waste of time? HA HA Again: even scientist intellectuals can be dumb!
