my hamster is acting funny?

I got a hamster a little less then a week ago its a panda hamster?
and it is not acting i let it run in the ball and he loved it the frist day and no he sits in it a does nothin and it also does nothin in its cageand it keep rupping its self over and over i have this cage called the critter trail x and the wheel has no opening and it takes his food and the bedding up their and one more can my hamster eat store brought sunflower seeds and can he eat crikets
