Boyfriend acting strange?

My boyfriend has all of a sudden started acting like he cant stand me. He reckons it is nothing but if I even try to bring it up he tells me to shut up. He keeps talking to me like I am crap and he keeps calling me names and saying he wants time alone and he doesnt want me to tell him what to do. It has only been happening for the past 4 days, but his attitude is 100% different to what it was before. Does this sound like he doesnt love me anymore, or do you think he might just need some space?
I have been giving him space like he asked for and went to my dads for the whole day on Sunday and when I got home and had a shower he turned the light out (becuase it is outside the bathroom) and then turned the hot water on in the kitchen and let it run so my shower went cold.
