why does my dad act like he hates my boyfriend?

i know the fact that i met him online probably worries him a little. but my boyfriend has NEVER made me feel uncomfortable with anything. he's not a lier. he doesn't push me for anything. he makes me happier then i've ever been. he doesn't smoke, drink, or do drugs. he doesn't commit crimes. he's got a lot of goals for his life. he's only a year older then me. i'm 18 and he's 19. my mom has even talked to him. and she thinks he's very respectful, sweet, a good guy for me, and WAY WAY WAY WAY better then other guys were in the past. those were basically her exact words. i just don't get what my dad's problem is with me being in love and seeing this guy. we didn't get together right away. we waited like a month or more before we even talked about things that have to do with more then friends. my older brother is happy about it. cause he knows i'm happy. why is my dad the only one who's not happy for me?

Because he's your dad.. and he is a man, so he knows what the boyfriend of yours is potentially going to want to do to you in the long run... if you know what I mean. Look at the positive side- You have a dad that cares about you and only wants the BEST for you. Stay positive girly
