That is part of a project. i need to make a mask, and my teacher said it has to be bigger then a persons head, so that rules out paper plates... and i really don't know how to make the paper mache and i have until Thursday so if you could help me, please do! ~*Thanks*~

we made paper mache greek masks last year. it's really easy. first you blow up a balloon, and tie it. then get newspaper strips, and cut them into about 1 inch wide. get some starch. (white milky kind used in laundry) dip the newspaper strips into the starch, coating it completely until it's damp. take the strips and plaster them onto the balloon's outer layer. (however big you want, if you want half a face, cover the baLLOON HALFWAY) put 3 layers or so or the newspaper strips. don't worry about the eys, and mouth parts yet. you can cut those out later when the mask dries.

it takes about a day for the masks to dry. make sure the baloon doesn't pop, if it does you'll have to start over again. when it's dried, gently take the mask off, cut out the eye and mouth pieces, and paint it.
