What do you do when your boyfriend starts acting differentely..?

and you ask him if anythings wrong between you two, and he says no, nothings wrong. but on the phone he seems like he's bored, or tired. also when he seems like he's not very happy around you, but around other people he's okay. and people ask him how we're doing and he says "Alright, it was great until i got grounded, then things got hard, and now she's grounded...so idk if it'll work out, i hope it works out, i want it to, but idk" and you make an effort to message him or text him and he seems to respond in an uninterested way, like he's busy, or something, and he promises everything is fine, but you're still unsure?
