| My computer has been acting strangely....can anybody help?
okay so my computer was working fine one day and then I turned it off. When I turned it back on, this message came up sayng that my normal computer settings coudn't be restored for some reason because there was a corrupted file and windows coudn't remove or flush the file and it said that it would put me in a temporary computer setting. When this setting came up, most of my icons were erased and My pictures and music are nowhere to be found, yet when I check the memory space, it's the same as when my coumputer was on my normal settings, so I know that info is in there somewhere. What i want to know is that is there a way to get all my old settings back and get rid of the corrupted file? I don't know what to do. I tried system restore, but that didin't do much help. Can anyone help me solve this dilema?
