I want start acting and doing musicals, but I'm starting college in a couple months.?

I'm 18 now and i've always wanted to be on broadway, not an actor, not a singer, not a dancer, but a combination of the three. I want to do small productions since I only have formal training and singing and dancing, but I don't know where to look.

Is there a way I could do plays and musicals and lessons as a hobby while staying focused in school? (I'll be a paint and art history major in September)
i definitely don't want it to be my life, because the odds of me actually making it to broadway are incredibly slim, but i'll check to see if my school has some performing arts club
