MUSICAL THEATRE acting tips and questions.?

I have a huge passion for musical theatre. Now, I don't plan on making a career out of it (at this point, anyways) but I would like to continue it for as long as I can. I've been told that I have talent but I still want to improve.

So I was wondering it any of you out there have any tips. Like for singing I know to drink lots of room temperature water and stay away from dairy. And I don't need any help on getting louder for speaking parts! But anything else acting or singing wise would be amazing help.
