How can i get into acting & tell my cousin?

ive always loved movies and i really want to act either in a show or movie. im looking for a audition website or a company that is giving auditions for teens.
my cousin also wants to be a actress and she doesnt know how bad i want it too. she went for a audition and shes going back for call backs on saturday. i just dont know how to tell her. i dont want her to think im copying her or anything =(

I'm currently studying acting also. Depending on where you live, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a small local group to study and practice with. You'll probably be very surprised how much you'll gain from interacting with other people with the same interests and goals. Read local independent papers or check your local Craigslist or Learning Annex. And you'll also probably be surprised to find that acting is not nearly as easy as professional actors make it look.

just tell her and say you have wanted it for a long time. if she truly loves you she will support you and ask her for some help on finding roles (make sure you do not try out for the same ones, we do not want tension) Tell her you ahve wanted this for a while and tell her you are not copying her! good luck

Anyhow you listen for auditions over the radio, read through magazines & newspapers for auditions, apply to get this newspaper Backstage West which is every actor's guide to auditions, and you can search the web.
