Nite Owl Theater???

I posted a question recently about an old late night show-showed movies I do believe on Friday nights-the show is Nite Owl Theater-anyone have any info on the show??? the host wore weird glasses that looked like owls or owls eyes-I'm looking for an old movie theyshowed about a soldier that was suppose to have died but he came back home as like a vampire or zombie-at end-he was running away from someone and ended up falling in his own grave-any info would b great! Thanks :O)

...sounds very much like you're talking about the very macabre, off-kilter and surreal 1974 horror shocker, "Dead of Night", which was released her in the States, as "Deathdream"; it was directed by Bob Clark, who previously dished out another zombie flick, called "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things", and would later direct "Porky's", and his most famous directorial effort, the cherished holiday classic, "A Christmas Story". This film was also one of the first make-up productions assigned to Tom Savini, who would soon become world renowned, with his effects in films like "Dawn of the Dead", "Friday the 13th and "Creepshow"...
