Wich party stayed closer to its ideals and pushed its agenda harder whenever it had the chance?

The democrats under Clinton. I don't know about staying closer to their ideals, as you say, but he never made a move without taking a poll first. And acted upon them. What a leader!!!

The democrats under Clinton. Americawas used to Reagan 'conservatism' but they wanted the feeling of hokey old cold warriors to go away. Clinton did his best to accommodate.

Bush and his government are acting in accordance to the agenda of their owners. The American people have no power over their decisions.

Reagan pretended to represent for the will of the people, but there was a lot of secret shenanigans all the time, typical of a corrupt Republican regime.

Hi, Vote Nader! has a spectacular aura about
The Republicans, and at least there is a modicum of honesty in pursuing a small part of what they had promised their core voters.

I would have to say either the Libertarians or the Greens. Neither the Democrats or Republicans have paid more than lip-service to the agenda they speak of while campaigning.

We have a few Libertarians in office here in New Hampshire and they are doing a great job advancing the party agenda.
