what should men wear for the theater????

I going to the theater tomorrow and don't know what to wear, i was thinking black slacks, black shoes, and don't know what shirt to wear, and don't sure if to wear a vest....

a sports jacket is also appropriate. as for a shirt, white, blue or turtleneck is fine. people don't get as dressed up as they used to

A nice sport jacket and a solid color freshly laundered and ironed shirt - no tie unless you want one. Omit the vest. It can get uncomfortable in a theater if you have too many layers of clothes on.

if you in middle-high school...
a shirt and jeans are FINE!!!
make sure you take a shower though...
