Bobby B has a spectacular aura about
ACT/College Questions?

I'm currently a junior and taking the ACT in April. I've got The Real ACT Study Guide and I've took two of the practice tests. My composites have been 27, and 28 respectively. I'm awesome at the reading and science but I'm running into time crunches on the math especially with the Adv. Alg questions. English is improving but I still need to work on it.

What's the easiest way to refresh/improve my grammer and advanced algebra skills? Any pointers for time control?

I have a 4.07 GPA and I'm 11th in my class out of 427. I'm shooting for an Ivy League or Military Academy. I'm in NHS, Varsity Sports, Groups, and 2 Leadership programs. What are my chances to get in and what ACT score do I realistically need to get.

Also

Is the SAT truly harder then the ACT?

I know Ivy League want the SAT but I have no clue on what SAT test to take, the new or old one.

Thanks for any help

Daniel F has a spectacular aura about
1)If your problem is time control, take as many practice tests as you can under those controls. The more you take, the better prepared you will be for the real thing.

2)Depends what ivy league, etc.....if you're shooting for the trifecta (Harvard/Yale/Princeton), you probably want at least a 30 on the ACT.

3)Varies for each person. The math section a a bit more complex on the ACT, but the reading section on the SAT is a tad less, um, specific (questions like "what was the writer's intention here?" appear on the SAT a lot, but the ACT is more time control, and tests more direct stuff)>
