ehh bored and im doin this math trivia thingy wanna help wit it.?

1.A daycare worker found 28 children absent one day during an epidemic of chicken pox. If this was 35% of the total number of children attending the daycare, how many children attend this daycare?

2.Last year, Mai Toberlan bought a share of stock for $83. She paid a dividend of $4.15. Determine what percent of the stock price is the dividend.

3.The enrollment at a local college increased 5% over last year’s enrollment of 7640. Find the increase in enrollment and the current enrollment.

4.In reaction to a slow economy, the number of employees at a soup company decreased from 530 to 477. What was the percent decrease in employees?

5.Find the amount of increase and the percent increase.
Original amount 10
New amount 15

1. 28/x = 35/100 =2800 =35x (divided on both sides) = 80 students OR 28/35 x 100 = 80.

2. 4.15/ 83 x 100 = 5 %

3. 7640 x 5% of itself = 8022

4. 530 - 477 = 53 = 10% decrease

5. 50 % increase

Well, 28/n=35/100 28x100/35
80 children.






5.Find the amount of increase and the percent increase.
Original amount 10
New amount 15

5 amout
50% increase. (50% of 10 is 5)
