Gooden (1985) and Feller (1939) each won 24 at age 20 (baseball age 20, on 30-June of the season). That's the modern era, post-19th century record anyway. Silver King won 45 games at 20, for the 1888 St. Louis Browns of the American Association. Larry Corcoran won 43 at 20, for the 1880 Chicago White Stockings (now Cubs) of the National League, and he was a rookie. But the answer you want is probably Gooden and Feller. |
