Easy trivia?

Okay, this is an easy ten points for someone.

As they exist today, who are the two oldest franchises in major league baseball?
Chip - No grammar corrections allowed....I know, I know, it should be "what" instead of "who," but my linguistics courses finished long ago.

I think maddog got it right. The Chicago Cubs and the Cincinatti Reds are the oldest franchises that still exist today in their original cities. I think the Braves are just as old (though they were the Boston Braves when they started).

One is the Cincinnati Reds. I think the other is the Chicago Cubs, but I'm not sure.

The Chicago Cubs and THE Philadelphia Phillies (with the Phillies being the oldest, continuous, one-name, one-city franchise in all of professional sports!)

Reason that I throw out the Reds from contention is that they were expelled from the NL for a few years for refusing to stop selling beer and for renting out the Park for use on Sundays which were both penalties in the 1800's.

In 1876 the league started with teams in:
Boston
Chicago
Cincinnati
Hartford
Louisville
New York
Philadelphia
St. Louis

The only 2 teams that have not moved or changed their name are the Reds and Cubs.
