| Painting my living room. I picked a BAD color! Advice for a newbie?
I found a color at Home Depot that I THOUGHT was similiar to a friends. I started painting and it looks terrible. I bought the cheap-o Glidden paint, America's finest, as I am renting and didn't want to spend major money on paint. It says it's non-returnable on the can, but can they modify the color? If so, would it be better to bring all three cans in, or just one? I'm afraid I'm going to have to just purchase new paint, but now I don't trust myself to pick. I wanted a warm, neutral gold color. I got a tacky dying flower color! I would rather get something more neutral the 2nd time around, but the hardwood floors are honey oak and don't look right with warm beiges. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if you have an idea that might work! --stranded in primer-land! |
