Is it normal for your arm to still hurt 5 days after getting blood drawn?

I got blood drawn 5 days ago. When the nurse pulled the needle out, i've never felt something like that before when getting blood drawn (hurt very bad). My arm was weak for the rest of the day (like normal), but then after the next day or two, whenever I even bend my arm, I get this painful burning feeling in the spot and areas around the site. There really isn't much bruising or anything. I've just never experienced this before.

That doesn't seem very typical...Keep an eye out for swelling or heat or pink/redness around the site, as this would signal infection. If it still hurts a couple days or you think an infection is developing, call the doctor who ordered the blood draw and talk to them.
