drawing a tarot card to set the tone of the day?

i've started drawing tarot cards recently to try to find what the day holds for me.. but i've been having trouble seeing how they connect to my days, or how i'm supposed to take the card that i draw and utilize it's meaning in my day/life..
in the past three days i've drawn the Emperor, the Chariot and the Tower as my cards.. yet am unsure of what they mean and what i should look for in my days when i draw these

I draw runes to figure out my head space and what I should focus my energies on. I find them to be much more basic than the tarot. Tarot is a bit too specific for that maybe.

I once read tarot cards and was heavily into occult practices and then later learned how this activity had opened a door for the dark side to effect my life. I now use a devotional each morning, with prayer and I read the Bible. This has brought more focus and balance to my life than anything the New Age stuff did. Try it, you will be amazed what you find when you just seek God in the Word!

I don't want to take away my power to set my own tone, let alone, create my own life.

I use Tarot to reflect random thoughts about human nature, like the I Ching or Runes or maybe looking at a fascinating piece of art.

However, I do not use them to focus on my daily routines, because my belief is that the power is in the focus.

If I focus in what I am wanting, then I am creating my day.

If I focus on what a random card is saying, then I'm relinquishing my power to something that isn't directing me.

Surrendering my focus on imagination of my child's mind is like going back to the time I was a 10 year old little girl trying to hold onto the belief of fairies, because I knew my consciousness was maturing to that of an adult.

I choose to be a woman. Not a little girl who believes in fantasies. Therefore, I won't use the Tarot to direct my day, but rather, as a fun thing to do once in a while to reflect on random thoughts of human nature, like a moving canvas... You don't always get the same read twice. It's just art.
