what is this kind of drawing called?

it's kinda like a spriograph drawing with the sprials and as you go along with the spirals make the shape look 3-d...except with this kind of drawing you use lines to get this affect instead of spirals...you start with point that make a circle, and then you draw lines from one point that branch out to all the other points, and when it is done it kinda looks like a 12 pointed star, or a sun...idk but it looks really cool...if you know what this is called, can you please provide the name, and if possible a link to where it shows how to draw it? thanks so much!
