I like the matchups, but the only thing is that I'd switch up Barça and Roma. I'd like to see how a power guy like Gerrard might deal with a trickster like Ronaldinho (that is, if he's playing, heaven forbid an injury) whereas Man U could find itself in a grinder of a 2 match series against Roma (I happen to like good grinding matches, btw).

Man U vs Barca
Liverpool vs Roma / Arsenal
Arsenal vs Schalke / Roma
Chelsea vs Fenerbache

This would be the most interesting combo IMO, especially Man u vs Barca. Barca played Liverpool last year and won 2-2 on aggregate. But when last has Man u played Barca? Would love to see 2 superstars, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho battle it out on the pitch.

I wish Big 4 EPL don't meet each other.
But I am curious that Liverpool will meet Chelsea again in this quarter final. We'll see on March 14.

Chelsea vs. Roma: Chelsea haven't faced Roma in European competition. It would feature a clash of the ageing, yet still proud titans (Sheva vs. Totti), both hero's of the same league.

Man Utd. vs. Barcelona: I think Barcelona have the zip and flare required to not only match Man Utd., but pop a few past Van Der Sar. Ronaldinho may arise from his state of dormancy when faced with a world footballer contender such as Ronaldo.

Fenerbache vs. Shalke: This would feature Neuer, Shalke's incredible goalie, hero of their victory over Porto, against the scoring might of Fenerbache. These teams are the least interesting out of the bunch, and for them to be paired together prevents other ties from being tainted.

Liverpool vs. Arsenal: Arsenal is cocky due to their might in the Premiership. They practically brush Liverpool aside at every encounter. However, Liverpool in the ECC are something else. They come alive, and im willing to bet money that the team which overcame Inter, will have something to say to the Gunners.

*If Chelsea played Liverpool again, a part inside me would die. 0-0, then 1-0 at Anfield because fate determines they get the second leg.
