Painting Bathroom Wall & Ceilings Two Colors?

Ceiling is (flat) white & walls (semi gloss) brown. Paint on both in good condition. After removing a larger mirror & "hollywood" light bar, tried to match the paint on existing walls. Could not get an exact match so we decided to error on the lighter side of the current brown and repaint all the walls. My first time using the "edging tool" pad (w/the wheels). The trim run on the first of four walls came out great, I even impressed myself! But this was not to last, i must have applied too much pressure with the remaining 3 walls here and there because a small amount of paint was pushed up into the white ceiling. This made for a sloppy line in a few areas. I have read it's better to run the wall color "up" into the ceiling corner rather than run the ceiling color "down" into the wall corner. So now I have an overpaint of brown in my white ceiling in places. I don't want to paint the ceiling, I just need a touch up, but what is the best way? Can you help??

There are people that can work magic with some of the edging tools being sold. I'm not one of them. Some of them are just garbage... Masking tape is always best for me. I use a brush up close to the edges, so I don't have to get too close to the tape with a roller. You can dab or cross brush strokes to better match the texture of a roller. You can usually cover up most of your brush painting up with the roller anyway.

I would just wait until the paint dries, tape the top of the walls and touch up your ceiling with a brush or your edging tool in combination with the tape. Usually, I'd paint the ceiling first, then the walls. Shouldn't matter if you're careful, since you won't be splattering with a roller.
