Why am I so drawn/obsessed to figures with wings?

I have a sort of obsession with figures with wings. From Unicorns to Pegasus, Angels and Fairies, even butterflies. Where does this come from? I can't stand to have pictures of real nature or outer space, anything like that on my computer or in my home. I am not religious and do not associate with any religion. Any ideas?

I think I understand this 'obsession'. Everyone likes wings simply because they're a surrealistic figment of our imagination that can be manipulated in different ways to express good or evil, a mood or even a dream. If you are curious to find out how flying feels like, that might explain why - or like the butterfly wings on your pic, it could be a sort of inspiration to you. In short, they're just eye food. You must have had some amazing moment with wings when you were a child. It could just be a passing thing, too.

Humans have a natural liking for things graceful, or that seem to flow. Things with wings, ( Unicorns, Pegasus, Angels and Fairies) all have those traits... So it's natural xD.

Maybe the meaning to it all is that you seek to have more freedom in your life.

Maybe for you it's a Jungian archetype. I don't know what it could symbolize exactly, but my point is that maybe the image of a figure with wings comes from deep down in your subconscious. It seems pretty reasonable to me. By the way, have you checked out Mothman or the Jersey Devil? They're interesting.
