How do you paint a wall where I ripped a poster off, and paint came off?

i ripped off a poster, and a paint layer came out, now its a big brown spot (i think its plaster or some sh1t)..

anyways can i just go to the home depot and get a can of paint (the same color of my room) and just paint over those spots with a brush, or will it look like a fail, or will the paint fall off when it dries?

It's better to use primer first. Then paint. Otherwise the surface flaw will show.
